Born4Travel Posted September 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2014 My MIL is very sensitive to the vibration on a ship. (I am guessing it is from the engines?) and has requested I find a balcony room with no vibration on the Fantasy. Can anyone help me know where to request? Also she hates that the 2 bed are pushed together to make a bigger bed for her and FIL. She wanted to know if there were ANY rooms with "real" beds? I haven't heard of any, but thought I would ask. Thanks.:D
meatloafsfan Posted September 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2014 For your second question - all of the beds on the Fantasy, Dream and Magic are "real" beds. Only the wonder still has the 2 twins that go together. For the least amount of vibration, you need to stay away from the aft. Personally, I'd recommend mid ship, deck 8. I am so glad I asked about beds. :) Thanks. And thanks for the recommendation too.
mizzoufinal4 Posted September 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2014 We stayed on Deck 7 in room 7132 on the Fantasy last year and felt NO vibration whatsoever
moki'smommy Posted September 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2014 You can feel vibration anywhere--you are after all, on a moving ship. However. the farther aft you are, the more pronounced it is. As above. only the Wonder has beds that separate. The other 3 ships no longer have this option. Works fine if you like to share a bed with your travelling companion....but makes life awkward for those of us who do not travel with a spouse.
