englander Posted September 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2014 How will this holiday affect our visit? We will be on the Legend of the Seas staying overnight Nov 11-12. Will shops still be open? Activities at the Dockyard, ferry, buses, etc?
sebas030 Posted September 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2014 Here is a link with info : http://bermuda-online.org/pubhols.htm You will already be on the winter ferry schedule, so I don't know how it will affect the schedule...probably the Sunday schedule. Bus should be on Sunday schedule also. Many taxis do not operate Most restaurants are closed Many tour operator are closed But there is a parade in St-George in honor of the veterans...that might be worth the visit... sebas030 Posted September 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Anyone who knows about the shuttle to Horseshoe Bay Beach that day? Hoya Hi, I would not count on it :( It might be available....but I would have a plan "B" so sure. It's a holiday, Sunday schedule, you are the only ship at the Dockyard, it's November ( beach goers won't be as many ), sunset is around 5:20pm... I do not think the demand will be high enough to justify the shuttle on a holiday... If you are involved on your roll call and/or plan on going to your M&G, I would ask around and plan to share a taxi (up to 4 passengers is about 43$ each way  ) or rely on the regular #7 bus with limited schedule ( earliest bus is 10:50am and latest will be around 5pm at Horseshoe ) Sharing a cab at about 22$ ( round trip ) per passengers for a group of 4 is probably the best way to go if you want to enjoy a full day at the beach...
