Question Regarding DSC, Soda Pkg, Other Costs

Hello All,

 

My family will be on a 7 night cruise, leaving Sunday and returning the following Sunday. Does NCL charge for 8 days for package costs such as Soda package? How about for DSC?

 

I can see DSC for 8 days, since there is significant crew support needed on disembarkation day, but not sure if we will be charged for soda package for that day. No big deal if we are, it just makes the cost of the package different, and I just want to be aware of it.

No. The multiplier for each of those is 7.

I know DSC is discretionary, but if there were not an amount associated with it, I think I would end up tipping a lot more. With a "fixed" charge, I know I am tipping what NCL considers adequate to staff without stiffing anybody... :)

If you get outstanding service don't hesitate to consider tipping additionally. The Discretionary Service Charge is just a suggested benchmark. Your mileage may vary.
