pepsicruiser Posted September 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2014 Can someone give me some info on what to expect weather wise during our trip across the Atlantic at the end of April? I see Barcelona weather April into May can average around 70 degrees so wonder how to dress going across. TY
Clarea Posted September 30, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2014 I would say layers would be the most useful. You will have some nice sunny days, and probably some cool rainy days too.
Happy_Girl Posted September 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2014 It's also pretty breezy so even on a 'warm' day, expect the wind chill to take the temp down quite a bit We did a TA from UK to NY and back on Cunard in August which is "height of uk summer" but there were only 3 days we weren't cold outside - and they were when we were in the vicinity of NY Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
peteukmcr Posted September 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) We did Miami to Southampton this April on Adventure and I can say that until 2 days before we reached the UK the weather was very pleasant. Albeit not as warm as Miami nor the Caribbean Islands we visited before we set off across the Atlantic, but even the day after we left the Azores we were out on the pool deck in shorts. Obviously if you're heading to Barcelona you'll be heading into the Mediterranean, so I would expect the weather to be very nice even at that time of the year. However, it depends what you consider 'nice', because for those of us from the northern hemisphere, anything over 60 degrees is considered hot :D Edited September 30, 2014 by peteukmcr
