Hi,

We did the eclipse transatlantic from ft Lauderdale - southampton via the Caribbean in April 2013,

now the weather as expected was great to start off with being in Florida/caribean and was good for the first few days of the crossing.... It started to get colder the closer we got to southampton but as English folk we are kind of used to that so it didn't stop us from using the pool etc 😃 the last day at sea was quite cold & wet but that time of year coming into the UK it's quite normal... I just think as its a more northerly route it was never going to be a warm as one going into the med!

I hope you don't take my comments as a negative I'm just saying it as it was...

Did we have a great cruise... Yes, would we do the same cruise again... Yes in a heart beat, will you have a great cruise... Of course you will! 😎

Enjoy!

Please feel free to ask any questions if you have any! 😊

On average the weather from Florida to Lisbon is great that time of year (unless you may think it too warm). From the Iberian Peninsula north across the Bay of Biscay is notoriously rough - you may luck out, but be prepared for almost anything on the last part of the cruise. Lyn is prone to sea queasiness, but finds the Bonine pills handed out gratis at Guest Relations to be quite effective if needed.

happy sails

Thom

I've done the Eclipse spring TA the last 2 years.

I found the wether to be quite nice the full way, but for the dreary arrival as the other poster noted in 2013. Seems like we had low 70's temps as the lowest daytime temp, though sometimes the wind made things feel cooler.

I also found the seas to be very calm the full way, the roughest part was leaving the Caribbean.
