Just got an email for a $40 upgrade but wasn't told what kinda room so i called the number and was told i could get an 8k for $40 total from a balcony guarantee with a room that hasn't been assigned yet. So now im in 7202 on the pride. The best part was i got to use the $40 obc i had from a price drop that i got after final payment without booking early saver! This has worked out great for me!

I thought the same thing but they would have gotten the money back regardless, except they didnt have to upgrade me for it, I would have lost it all in the casino. I'm just happy I dont have to worry about getting an obstructed view balcony for the same price I had originally paid which was $429 pp. I'm mid ship with extended balcony so if they feel like they won so be it, I'll let them take this victory :D
