Mycruises62 Posted October 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2014 Hello, We will be on the 10 day Sea of Cortez cruise on the Grand Princess sailing. We have been to the Mexican Rivera several times, but not these two ports. Would any one know of a nice restaurant to grab breakfast or Lunch? I understand in La Paz that Princess offers a free shuttle into town. Not sure about Loreto. Thanks.
SadieN Posted October 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2014 In Loreto many will recommend Orlando's. Perfectly acceptable gringo style Mexican Food. After eating at Orlando's we found Fonda Canipole. It's under the Bell Tower of the Church. We weren't hungry but the owner Sofia gave us samples. Best beans I've ever had I usually avoid beans. Also fantastic Mole'. We are going to have lunch here in January.
CaliforniaCrzn Posted October 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2014 Just got back from Cabo, Loreto, LaPaz and Puerto Vallarta... Princess does offer a free shuttle to town in LaPaz. It's about a 30 min ride on a twisty 2 lane road. It was very hot and humid and once we got to town and saw the line to get back on the buses, we just stayed on the bus and headed back to the boat :( The town did not look like your typical "tourist" town from what we saw... maybe others have more info on it. Loreto was another port that didn't seem to be a typical tourist town and we wanted to hit the beach there so didn't get to see any town areas. Have fun, weather was beautiful last week! tootsiescurly Posted October 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2014 There is a great taco stand in La Paz just off of the Malecon near the Marina in town. Our other favorite restaurant is Tres Virgenes but not sure if it is open for lunch.
