Smoking decks on the Freedom

Anyone know what decks you can smoke on aboard the Freedom? With the new balcony ban, I'd like to book a smoking deck to make it easier for us.

Deck 3 and 10 exterior starboard side and casino deck 5 as well as one of the clubs on deck 5. Happy cruising.

If you can't get near your desired smoking area, book near an elevator. That's what I just did.

We booked a balcony cabin on deck 9. Just a short trip out the door and up 1 deck. Also nice to be close to Guy's Burgers. :)

JH has said that the inside smoking areas are supposed to be available 24/7.

 

When asked about the art auctions, private functions, etc being held there, he backtracked a little.

 

He said they weren't often and only for an hour.

BS to JH! We just got off the Freedom on Oct 5th. At least three days out of eight both the inside clubs where smoking is allowed were closed for private meetings, art auctions etc. and for way more than an hour. We passed by the dance club at least 4 times a day and never, ever, saw an ashtray anywhere in there.

I think he means this is to begin on cruises that leave once the balcony ban went into effect.

 

But I really think he has no idea what actually is happening on all of the ships.

Interesting. I thought I had always read "only when open". I guess something changed.
