cruzecontrol Posted October 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2014 My son has booked a cruise for himself and his son on the Explorer for Dec 2014. Final payment has been made. He has asked me to join them. He has booked a cabin with a pullman bed. My questions are can he add a third person at this time and will it affect his current rate? Clarea Posted October 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Adding a third person will not affect the rates that the others have already paid. However, I'd make the addition quickly because even though there is an extra berth in the stateroom, your section could still run out of lifeboat capacity. The ship does not have enough lifeboat capacity for every extra berth to be occupied.
Ken at the beach Posted October 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2014 If there us still capacity available to add you to the room then you would be added at the current rates for the 3'rd and 4'th guest in a cabin.
cruzecontrol Posted October 20, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Thank you both for the quick replies. I had not thought about capacity. We will check with RCI today about adding me to the reservation.
maureencruiser Posted October 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Have fun if you go! How old is your Grandson? Have you cruised with him before? :)
cruzecontrol Posted October 20, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Have fun if you go! How old is your Grandson? Have you cruised with him before? :) My grandson just turned twenty. I have cruised with my wife and my son's family three times. This would be the first time the three of us (father, son and grandson) cruised alone.
