Forward Verandah Cabins

On our Riviera cruise this summer we had a B3 extended balcony cabin and loved it. We asked our steward if we could have loungers for the balcony and he brought us 2 later that day.

If we have one of the forward (or aft) verandah cabins on the R ships eg 6001 can we request sun loungers? Is there room for 2?

No and No. Those R ship verandas are deeper than normal but not as large as the extended verandas on deck 7 of the O ships.

They might fit a single chaise lounge (if you don't mind the occasional bruised shin) but two would be physically impossible.
