Nate - thank you so much for all the wonderful photos - this has been a fantastic read so far.

My deepest condolences for your loss - hope your family was able to share many memories during your Nov. 9th sailing.

We sailed on the Regal on the 9th in that same nasty weather - umbrellas were definitely a must-have item! Our ships crossed paths a few times during the week and it was a beautiful sight on Saturday night seeing the lights of the Allure as you sailed back to Ft. Lauderdale. And I think Oasis passed us going south!

We are considering a TA on Allure/Oasis, but are in our mid to late 60s - will we be among the few old farts aboard?

Hope you had a memorable sailing on the 9th and thanks again. Kay

The couples room with no camera where you put muds and scrubs on each other is called Razul. Rick and I did this on the Voyager and Explorer!!

Ya, that's probably the name of it . I won't ask any follow up questions to what else went on in the room with no cameras...

Thank you Kay! We both had some pretty crappy weather those first couple days. The regal looked really nice out there the last night coming home to Port Everglades.

The 3 times I've been on Oasis Class ships I've seen a big mix in age groups from the young couples to grandparents. I don't think you'll feel out of place. I'm assuming there are many kids on TA sailings.

I assumed you grabbed that photo during your all access tour? How was that? I want to take it but can justify the $150

Yep, I loved the tour. My wife works in the food service industry so she was very interested in the galley and I'm a guy so I loved the engineering and of course the bridge.

I don't think I would do the tour for that price on another class ship, but for the Oasis class it is great.

DAY 2 - NASSAU

Dinner Dress Suggestion: Formal

Dinner Theme: Saffron

Drink of the Day: Tradewinds Cooler

Today we were in Nassau. When we arrived, before 7am, the weather looked decent. That didn't last too long when we got off the ship around 9am it was raining a little and then poured. Because we weren't in port for very long (all on board by 1:15pm) and it was supposed to rain, just a couple of us went to Junkanoo Beach which is about a 10 min walk from the port. While in the water the rain poured down on us. Our stuff on the beach was pretty soaked but we didn't mind all that much. A day on a cruise/on a beach is always better than a day at work.

When we got to the beach we grabbed 3 lounge chairs. A worker came up and told us they were $8 each. We gave him $20 and said its raining give us a deal. He said he would talk to his boss. We just went in the water. He came back a few min later and said he needed the other $4. We said its raining and we probably wouldn't sit on them anyway and told him he wouldn't get anymore money. He eventually just left.

This is the route we walked to the beach. Took about 10 minutes

The rain was coming down so hard at one point we couldn't see the ships anymore.
