ncl mastercare/travel benefits?

Just wondered if anyone used their free ins. benefit on their NCL card if they had to cancel their trip, with the time period after paying full payment? They allow up to $1500.00 per cabin for the cancellation or trip interruption for valid reasons? When I called NCL, no one knew about it and I know Chubb is the underwriter, but they sent me some generic info which didn't really answer my questions! I don't want to buy insurance if I have it! Has anyone had to use it to get a refund? thx
