NYcruzzer Posted October 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) I am a big NCL fan who has sailed the Eastern Carribean out of NYC countless times. I see Royal Carribean's newset ship Anthem of the Seas will be doing some 12 r/t western carribean itineraries from NY in 2016 Anyone think NCL will take notice and perhaps add some western routes from NYC ? I love NCL and would love if they sailed the western Carribean out of NYC Day Port *** 30-Nov Cape Liberty, New Jersey 01-Dec Cruising 02-Dec Cruising 03-Dec Labadee, Haiti 9:00 AM 4:00 PM Docked 04-Dec Falmouth, Jamaica 10:00 AM 5:00 PM Docked 05-Dec George Town, Grand Cayman 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Tendered 06-Dec Costa Maya, Mexico 11:00 AM 7:00 PM Docked 07-Dec Roatan, Honduras 7:00 AM 4:00 PM Docked 08-Dec Cozumel, Mexico 9:00 AM 5:00 PM Docked 09-Dec Cruising 10-Dec Cruising 11-Dec Cruising 12-Dec Cape Liberty, New Jersey 7:00 AM Edited October 25, 2014 by NYcruzzer

GORDONCHICK Posted October 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2014 My bet is no. 7 night cruises are far more in demand than the longer ones. And I'm trying to figure out why someone would want so many sea days just to do the Western Caribbean???? Why not fly to a port that sails the route already and maybe spend some extra time in the departure port?
spidybabe Posted October 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2014 We would love to see NCL do that, and this January 2015, there are NO 7 day cruises out of NY, only longer ones. Yup would love a different itinerary and we enjoy longer cruises, but don't like having to fly. Port of NY is so easy for us. Safe sailing
Buford T Justiice Posted October 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2014 we did an 11 day W. Carib. on the NCL Dawn from NYC in January 2007. I was very nice but 11 days away was too long for us. 9 days is about perfect for us.
rvsullivan Posted October 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Yep, only Eastern and Southern 9 and 12 day out of NYC. I think Western might be too far. And some of the Western ports might not be able to handle the Mega Ships??
Demonyte Posted October 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Yep, only Eastern and Southern 9 and 12 day out of NYC. I think Western might be too far. And some of the Western ports might not be able to handle the Mega Ships?? Main Western ports already handle megaships, Epic has been doing Western Caribbean and next year Getaway will take her place.
