flipflopgal Posted October 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2014 We are two certified divers going to be on the Celebrity Summit next week stopping in Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, St Marteen & St Thomas. Usually we dive in St Lucia & St Thomas, but Im asking for help in deciding if it is worth trying a dive in Barbados & Antigua or St Marteen instead, just for a change. Is there any good diving in ANtigua, Barbados or St Marteen or will we be sorely disappointed if we dont stick with St Lucia & St Thomas ? Its just that there is so much else to do there that we always miss, I thought perhaps we should shake up our routine. Thanks in advance for any experiences, advice or recommendations you have. grvdggr71 Posted October 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2014 Speaking for myself, I've been to St. Thomas enough that it has become an "always dive" port for me, as I can't think of anything I'd rather do on St. Thomas (shopping is not for me). St. Lucia is also an "always dive" port - I've only been there once previously, but the two dives we did there were fantastic! St. Maarten is OK, but we are trying a shark dive next through Ocean Explorers Dive Center. I've heard good things about Barbados, but haven't tried yet. Haven't heard enough (good or bad) about Antigua. Hope this helps a little!
chadbeck Posted October 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2014 I would dive in Barbados. They have many nice sites and the viz has always been good for me. I would skip St. Maarten/Antigua not great sites at either location imo. St. Thomas/St. Lucia I always dive lots of great sites to see if you get away from the cruise ship and book on your own.
