Sail2k Posted October 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2014 So we are currently cruising on Oasis on a 5 day cruise and I thought I would share some thoughts on some questions I think people were still wondering about.... 1. VIP area of the casino is just 4 tables with $100.00 minimums and $2000.00 max. Nothing special. Have seen nobody in it. Kinda in center back of casino just a roped off section 2. Internet so far has been the norm...Skype will not function for me, Vonage extensions will also not function at all. Internet and email are fine. Facebook is fine. Speed is just like every other cruise. I paid $125 for 1 device for 5 days. I think it was the best deal, you can use any device as long as you log out of each device prior to switching. 3. Check in process was crazy. People were kinda upset as we couldn't board the ship till after 2pm on Monday. No biggie for us but for people who took the TA and had to get off at 7am and sit in the terminal till after 2....they were hot. 4. New sabor tequila bar is awesome hidden secret. Nobody has been there the past day and a half....but oh my goodness the freaking margaritas are great. Takes them a little bit to make them....but worth it. Not sure what I have forgotten to post about....ask away Sent from my iPhone using Forums
rclibertygirl5 Posted October 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Not sure if you have the ability to take and post pictures but if you could snap a few of the new aft GS balconys on decks 11, 12 and 14 that would be great!! There should be a pretty good view of them from the Aqua Theater. We have the one on deck 11 booked but not until Feb 2016.... I hope you enjoy your cruise!! Sail2k Posted October 28, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 28, 2014 We are in an Aqua theater suite on deck 10 and they have had the balconies draped off so far. But what we can see this afternoon is kinda strange looking. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
rclibertygirl5 Posted October 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Wow thanks for responding so quickly. If you see anything change throughout your cruise more pictures would be appreciated!! :D I hope you enjoy your AQ suite. We were just on the Allure last week in the Deck 8 AQ suite. It was the most fabulous room ever!!! I am not sure how we will be able to cruise in a regular room now....ha ha ha!

DP Posted October 28, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Is the Concierge Lounge on deck 11 open? If so do they still serve wine & beer at lunch? Have you been to Castal Kitchen Deck 17? What are the hours?

rclibertygirl5 Posted October 28, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Thanks for the pictures!! They look kind of weird.....it looks like the rooms come out much further and are closer to the front of the balcony than the AQ suites..... emmy Posted October 28, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 28, 2014 I was on the transatlantic sailing and Coastal kitchen will not open until Nov 8 as noted in the drink menu in the new Suite lounge . Unlike Quantum Coastal kitchen will be for Grand Suites and above. Quantum you can book this venue if in a JS

Kinda in center back of casino just a roped off section Sent from my iPhone using Forums Thanks for the information on the VIP area, can you remember if the 4 tables were all Blackjack. From photos I have seen, looks like 2 Blackjack and 2 others Liking the $100 minimum, will eliminate those players splitting there 10,s:eek: Surprised a few reports have said that it has been empty, as I know for sure that's where I will be most evenings:) If it stays open till 2016;) Thanks again for the info Happy Days! Cindy Posted October 28, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Hmm...I hadn't stopped to consider how much of what used to be "secret" balcony overhang would become cabin ceiling. I guess I had a mini AQ Suite configuration in my head. We were lucky enough to upgrade to a Deck 9 Aqua Theater suite for our cruise next month, but I've been saying I would have done a lateral move to an aft GS if they were going to be in inventory when we cruise. Seeing those pictures, I'm not sure if I'd like the balcony. Edited October 28, 2014 by Cindy
PompeySailor Posted October 28, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Would you be able to get a few pics of the CL on deck 11 and wonderland on deck 12. Seeing as all has changed :) Appreciated! Happy Days! Thanks Graham
DP Posted October 28, 2014 #15 Share Posted October 28, 2014 I am Pinnacle and I understand Suites and Pinnacles are allowed in the Coastal Lounge. What are the hours of the lounge and are drinks served throughout these hours? Thanks
Sail2k Posted October 28, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted October 28, 2014 CL is currently in the suite lounge at the former Viking. Kinda bland looking....wife and I didn't really care for the feel of it. Too bland maybe? Not sure, but def feels strange. I will say this tho, we do like the suite deck for hanging out in the sun. They have cabanas and some nice places in both the sun or the shade. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Sail2k Posted October 28, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted October 28, 2014 As far as the VIP area of casino.... 2 blackjack. 1 baccarat and can't remember what other table was. They had nobody in there last night and one of the dealers told us it it's too early to judge because they have never really had anyone in there. I'm not even sure why they rope it off and call it a VIP area...IMO they should just have those tables in the open area and just have higher limits because most people don't qualify to play in it. Sunny AZ Girl Posted October 28, 2014 #21 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Have a great cruise! I hope that Customer Service has improved from the experiences of the people on the westbound TA. I can understand the normal post drydock problems, but there is no excuse for poor customer service.
