Travalerie Posted October 29, 2014 #26 Share Posted October 29, 2014 CL is currently in the suite lounge at the former Viking. Kinda bland looking....wife and I didn't really care for the feel of it. Too bland maybe? Not sure, but def feels strange. I will say this tho, we do like the suite deck for hanging out in the sun. They have cabanas and some nice places in both the sun or the shade. Travalerie Posted October 29, 2014 #28 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Hmm...I hadn't stopped to consider how much of what used to be "secret" balcony overhang would become cabin ceiling. I guess I had a mini AQ Suite configuration in my head. We were lucky enough to upgrade to a Deck 9 Aqua Theater suite for our cruise next month, but I've been saying I would have done a lateral move to an aft GS if they were going to be in inventory when we cruise. Seeing those pictures, I'm not sure if I'd like the balcony. Definitely looks like a split balcony on deck 14. The windows seem to come all the way to the rail. I still think the wrap around feature is nice for deck 11 and 12.
Sail2k Posted October 29, 2014 Author #29 Share Posted October 29, 2014 They do have free drinks in the suite lounge from 11:30 till 8:30....limited options but still fine. Just nothing fancy. Very quiet in there. Kinda nice to get away and just relax and look out at the busy pool decks. So sorry for the lack of updates we have been busy having fun....sometimes too much fun Yesterday we were in the Bahamas and didn't step off the boat. Spent the day enjoying the half empty pools and ship. Had a great lunch at Sabor. Love it!!! Margaritas and food was awesome. The drinks are strong!!! We went and saw Cats last night, wife loved it....not my thing tho as the show it about 2.5 hours and I am not the type to sit in one place that long. Lol. Finished the night at the casino. This is short....sorry more later and I shall try to answer some questions above Sent from my iPhone using Forums

FunInTheSun0303 Posted October 29, 2014 #31 Share Posted October 29, 2014 This is awesome you are doing this. My husband and I have never been on the Oasis but we finally will be in February. We are on Deck 11 I'm thinking toward the back of the ship in an Stateroom balcony view do you have any pictures so we could maybe see what we will be enjoying? 3dog Posted October 29, 2014 #32 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Have a great cruise! I hope that Customer Service has improved from the experiences of the people on the westbound TA. I can understand the normal post drydock problems, but there is no excuse for poor customer service. FWIW, this is what I want to know. All the venue changes (good or bad) will be meaningless if customer service is bad (which I am hoping was due to staff chaos after dry-dock, and not an endemic problem). Perl47 Posted November 6, 2014 #34 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Thank you for taking the time to do this. DW and I sail in about five weeks and as we have never been on Oasis are information junkies. Have a great cruise. I've lost all my stuff from our cruise on the Sun because I wanted to reconnect with you guys and see when you're sailing next. It just so happens that we're going on the Sun again, Nov 9-16 with our daughter and family. And then on the NCL Epic Nov 30 and I was excited when I saw that you'd also be in the Caribbean the same week. But the fates didn't shine on us -- we'll in the western and you'll be in the eastern. But would love to keep in touch and maybe coordinate to be on the same cruise again someday. Plus, we'd love to hear about your experience on the Oasis - we've been wanting to go on that one so would love to talk to you about it. We live in FLA now so you should stop by and spend a few days. :) I apologize for being off topic but John & Bertha are the world's nicest people and I don't know how else to contact them. I'm on aol. JP2697.
