Now on to dinner in the MDR at our window table, here is the view:

It may not have been THE best oceanview from the dining room, but we were very happy to have it.

Sorry but I do not have the menus for many of the meals that we ate. Luckily there are other CC members who have shared menus! Just search for them, they helped us out immensely! I made sure that I knew the order of the menus before we went - I had it narrowed down that we would eat at the steakhouse the first night because that is when the MDR menu least appealed to us.

Here is a chicken/apple/cheese appetizer (cold) :

I loved this dish! Definitely would have it again.

I had lobster (or maybe it was shrimp?) bisque:

IMG_0486_zps6e7744a3.jpg

DH had some type of mostly broth soup...

We both had the prime rib, VERY good:

Chocolate souffle...I think with espresso cream? I thought it was pretty tasteless:

Lemon tart:

IMG_0490_zps59610b6c.jpg

I thought the meringue and lemon custard were great, but the cookie/cracker on the bottom not so much!

DH had a cheesecake, said it was good:

Anyone still out there? I want to keep writing and posting my pictures, so I am going to post as I have the time. Hopefully the info will help someone out there :)

Here is some room service:

IMG_0469_zps1c35095f.jpg

We ordered room service probably at least once a day, it wasn't always the best, but very convenient for those late night cravings when we didn't want to leave the cabin! The pizza was pretty good, spinach dip, not very good.

Room service cheesecake:

Room service cookies:

IMG_0471_zpsda25a50c.jpg

For the first half of the trip, these cookies from room service were AWESOME...seriously couldn't believe it. Unfortunately, after a few days when we would order cookies they would send us hard/dry cookies that were nothing like these. Oh well though, plenty of other sweets on this trip!

Day 2 - CC Meet & Greet Gift:

IMG_0474_zpsc9e0d7b2.jpg

The meet and greet only had about 20 people show up in Dazzles. It was still fun, but quick! The couple we chatted with had been in the same hotel shuttle with us to the port! That was neat.

Buffet breakfast:

Not that impressed, but decent enough...we aren't big fans of the buffet since there are always other great options. Breakfast is by far the busiest time for the buffet during the week, and it kind of makes me crazy!

From Nov. to April fools day. WOW

Sorry! Just trying to share information with anyone who wants to read. I enjoy being on CC but have a hard time keeping up with it.

Everyone let me know if this review will still help with your upcoming trip, and if you have any questions I can answer. I won't post if it's not useful!

Thanks to those who responded who are still interested :)

Here are some ship pictures as we walked around after dinner:

We never did make it to the carousel for a ride which I regret...even though we are adults I just think it is so cool for a carousel on a ship!

Flow rider turned off at night:

It was kind of creepy being at the back of the ship in the dark with barely anyone around...but also serene. The ocean was right behind us!

We decided to play mini golf while we were waiting for it to be time for the evening entertainment:

Mini golf didn't have an attendant (not sure if they do during the day) but we were able to grab the clubs and balls ourselves and we just had a fun little game - no scorekeeping :)

The evening entertainment was Oceanaria:

We got to the show early so we could get good seats - I had heard from countless others to make sure you were there early so you could get a chair with a back and not just a bench! Also to make sure we weren't in the splash zone :)

One comment that is not that big of a deal, but it has stuck with me - someone sat beside me with this awesome smelling popcorn - I asked him where he got it, and he pointed to where, but it was for sale - I think he said $3 or $4 for the smallish bag. I remember thinking OK, I don't have to have it, but I thought it was weird they were charging for popcorn when other ships give it out for free during outdoor events/movies...just my 2 cents. I would have loved free popcorn, but I didn't want to pay for it.

I don't want to give much away about the show - other than it was GREAT - DO NOT MISS! And make sure to pay attention to all areas you never know where someone will pop out of next! lol.

After Oceanaria we were ready for a snack.

We went and checked out cafe promenade and sorrento's. My parents went on the Allure last year and they loved cafe promenade for snacks. Unfortunately, my husband and I were not as thrilled - I think it was just not the type of food we were interested in.

Sandwich had olives on it but it wasn't described that way...the muffin was tasteless.

Cafe Promenade did have good cookies, but we waited in line for quite a while so not sure if they are that worth it.

Pizza from Sorrento's:

At least the pizza was better. Not fantastic best ever pizza, but decent.

Our next stop was the casino - we've never gambled, we figured maybe we would try a penny slot. It was a lot of fun! We each played $1.

Look! I turned $1 into $5 :D

IMG_0536_zps31192b06.jpg

Pretty sure my husband was embarrassed of how thrilled I was...LOL.

I was amazed at how well the casino worked with one side smoking and one side not. (we are both nonsmokers) They had air fresheners you could see running (kind of looked like steam coming out, but fresh smelling). So rest easy if you hate breathing in smoke!
