Mystic Mountain and Carnival

Please help me understand what exactly Mystic Mountain is? Looks like they have lots to do up there. Is everything priced separate? Do you need to do a ship tour or can you have a taxi drop you off?

Looking for as much advice as possible.

Thanks in advance

I've been to Mystic Mountain twice (land based vacations).

You start at the bottom of the hill, where you pay. You then take the ski lift up to the top of the hill. Up top, they have a restaurant, bar, pool, souvenir shops, a museum of JA history, and a small aviary.

Bob Sled ride - You start at the top in a car that resembles a bobsled on rails. You control the speed. Cars can be tethered together too. The ride down lasts about 1 minute (speed depending). It is fun! Once you reach the end, the ride brings you right back to the top. Now you can buy another ride ($12 I think) or do other things.

Zip Line - I have never done the zip line, but others said it is a blast too. Again, you start at the top and zip down the hill. Once you get to the end, you get back on the ski lift and return to the top.

Photos - They take pictures of you on the ski lift and on the bob sled ride (zip line too???). They offer these for sale.

Prcing - All things are priced ala carte. As best as I can remember...

Ski lift up and down is about $49.

Ski lift up, bob sled ride, and ski lift down is about $69.

Ski lift up, zip line, ski lift down is about $89.

Ski lift up, bob sled ride, zip line, ski lift down is about $119.

When you are all done, you take the ski lift back down to the parking lot.

I am not positive on your question regarding needing to book a cruise tour or just grab a cab. I would think you could do either.
