MADflyer Posted November 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2014 While the Gym is a little on the small side for a ship this size, many are thrilled that they have again moved the facility to the top of the ship on the bow with great sea views. RCI chose to have a for pay Thermal Suite that is a little smaller than the one on Oasis class with the same restriction of 30 passes per cruise. There are 4 heated lounge chairs, one steam sauna and one dry sauna and only one rain shower. The facility is unisex and has tinted windows that allow in some natural light. The cost is again $119 for a solo and $199 for couples for the entire cruise. I was personally hoping for an upgrade to this facility, similar to what Steiner have done on the NCL ships with the Vitality pools and expanded facility, but I guess they decided to go another route with more space for other spa facilities. candicecaribbean Posted November 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2014 Can you tell me a little bit about the group fitness classes-what are they offering and what the cost might be? We took a boot camp class on the Allure a few years ago and I saw there was something about Beach bootcamp, but I was not sure how that worked. milford_cruiser Posted November 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Has anyone been to the Thermal Suite? Even with the 30 limit I'm wondering if it gets crowded with other sauna users. Or do "other" spa visitors have other facilities?
QuantumCruiserAu Posted November 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2014 The cost is again $119 for a solo and $199 for couples for the entire cruise. . lol those prices are really bad... would that thought it would be included as part of the fee - clearly not... another way for RCI to nickle and dime everyone.... MADflyer Posted November 9, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Thermal suite pricing has been in effect since they were introduced on Oasis class. Steiner runs the spa on most cruise lines and thermal suites are usually with a fee. The Thermal suite did not get overcrowded on this TA sailing. Both the Thermal Suite itself and the locker room have only one shower. Inside the area is one rain shower. A soap dispenser was added mid-cruise in the locker room's one shower.
