OBC ~ Making me crazy!!!

First of all... woohoo!!! With all of the recent sales, we've ended up with a lot of OBC between our 3 cabins.... we have 3 cabins total and each one has an OBC of over $200.00. My question is as follows: How is the OBC split among the passengers?

Cabin 1 - 2 people $205.00 OBC

Cabin 2 - 2 people $215.00 OBC

Cabin 3 - 4 people $225.00 OBC

the main issue is Cabin 3 for 4 people..... does anyone know if CCL splits it equally between the # of passengers or does it get split between the 1st two passengers? Cabin #3 is kids without charging privileges and tips are prepaid. Can I request that the OBC be transferred to Cabin #1?

If not, for the older kids I can create a player's account and cash out, but for the child under 18, what happens to their OBC if not used?

I can only share what happened on our cruise. I booked 3 staterooms.

Room one Hubby and I

Room two, daughters 15 and 18

Room three oldest daughter, son in law and their 2 children.

When we checked in Rooms one and two were on the same credit card that was put up to guarantee our account. All OBC was combine for these two rooms. All charges for rooms one and two showed up on the same account but were defined by the folio number.

Room three put up their own credit card and had their own OBC listed on their S&S.

Is that clear as mud?

Are all the OBC's from price drops? If so, it is refundable so you can get back in cash whatever OBC is left, on the last night of the cruise or if not, they will send you a cheque after your cruise.

I am not sure but I think you might be able to get it from Guest Services at any time during the cruise and then if you have any charges on your S&S, the charges will then be charged to your credit card.

Congrats on all the OBC.:)

Yes, makes sense. Our cabin of 4 passengers is 2 of my children who are 18+, 1 friend 19 and 1 friend 17. I believe the 17 year old will have to be under my folio because she's a minor and the other 3 will be set up as cash accounts to help control spending.

Here's where it gets tricky.... 1 of the girls who is not mine, did not pay as much as the other 3 passengers, therefore, I would like to split the 225.00 among the other 3 passengers. If by chance, CCL gives her a portion of that $225.00, I want to be able to split it among the other 3 girls because that's only fair, since they paid more for their cruise fare when booked (trust me I keep detailed records of who's paid what and when).

Interesting.... I had not heard of that before. Anyone cashed out on their OBC from overpayment from ES on Day 1 or 2?

Not specifically cashing out at GS but have gone to the casino and cashed out that way early on because I wanted money for ports and knew I wouldn't use all of my OBC on ship.

Once your on board you can go to guest services to handle the OBC the way you want. My aunt and father had a OBC that was just applied to my fathers, they went to GS and they simply put 1/2 on my aunts. No problem.

Thanks! I've wondered if we can move it around as we like :)
