We took a 4 days cruise with Carnival Imagination a week ago. I would like to just say that we had great time. I was very impressed we had shows nightly and intertntment in the promenade. We had our time dinning and their was no problem getting in. I look forward for another cruise with the same ship. We have been with the Inspration last May and were disappointed, their was no intertamtment in the promenade other than karaoke and only one show. For a 4 days cruise the Imagination even had the on pool Buffett and dancing one night. If the Inspration had the same than we just missed it but for any one who is thinking about taking a cruise with the Imagination for ME I would go again.

We're onboard Imagination right now, prepping (via Cheers) for the Jewel concert tonight. Here's proof my bartender loves me:

Food last night in the dining room was great. I had the Herb Roasted Chicken - very moist and tasty. DH had the NY Strip Steak (Steakhouse selection-$20 upcharge) - Really tender and cooked perfectly. He said it was definitely worth the $$.

I have only been on the Imagination but sailing on the Inspiration Friday. I was hoping they would have the same entertainment as the Imagination. I loved going to the shows at night and listening to the bands. Now I'm worried.

I hope they have added something since May. :)

How was the Inspration? We are booked next month. We got good deal and in a way after going with the Imagination I almost regrets booking the Inspration. I just was never aware that the cruise we did would be so good. Food in the MDR was good. We did it 2 nights and 2 nights in the Buffett. We like the diffrent cheeses and the fruit. Service in the MDR was very good. We had the same waitr both times.

I will let you know Monday. We are leaving Friday. I did love the Imagination. I don't think the Inspiration will disappoint though. As long as I'm on a cruise I will be happy.

Was on Inspiration last month with 2 great shows, Motown and VIP (70s Disco). Great combo in the casino bar, everything from 60s to current music. Comics were fun too. Had a cabin on empress deck which was a little cooler than I liked, even with the vent closed. Wore a sweater most of the time on board. Took the four day and they changed sea day to Tues instead of thurs due to princess also using Catalina on Tuesday.

Glad to hear. I really enjoyed the NY Strip on our last cruise and it is worth the price.

By far most posters including me agree the steak choice is a winner. (As is the Steakhouse when available) Sounds like it was a great cruise.

I dunno, the Maine Lobster dinner I had from the Steakhouse Selection menu was pretty awesome - basically it was 1 & 1/2 lobsters, as it had 3 whole claws and 3 half tails:

Does the IMAGINATION have GUY's BURGERS yet?

Glad to hear. the IMAGINATION was one of my favorite ships to sail when she was still on the east coast out of MIAMI. I am traveling to CA to sail in Dec for my B'day cruise. again. :)

I was on the Imagination in May and it was cold. I went back on the same ship in July and the temp was more normal. One of the entertainment staff, a gorgeous guy from Australia, said the air had broken down and was fixed. He said he'd never been so cold in his life!

Did your itinerary have Ensenada as your last day or was the last day a day at sea? On all my past sailings, Ensenada was the second full day and the deck party was that night (with Mexican food at the late buffet). If they do a deck party on my cruise in Dec., the deck party will have to be on the sea day, as they have put that between Catalina and Ensenada. Never had this itinerary before.
