Juneau on a Sunday/Ketchikan store hours

We are in juneau on a Sunday from 8-7pm and I am assuming all of the stores and things will still be opened?

 

Also when we are in Ketchican, we arrive at 3:00pm. I remember reading once that their stores close at like 5pm -- is that correct?

I haven't gone yet (leaving in 10 days), but if you look at the Ketchikan tourist website, some of the stores have toll free #'s you could call, I think the tourist bureau also has toll free #'s and you can call to ask about the shops.

 

Someone told me last year the shops stay open as long as there is a ship in port, but I don't know if it's true or not and if it is if all stores operate that way.
