Waterfalls

I am planning to book a trip to Xunantunich if I am unable to find an excursion that visits a National Park. I know there is limited time in Belize and you dont want to miss your cruise ship, but has anyone ever booked an excursion for waterfall repelling or hiking and sightseeing in one of the National Forests? I would love to see the 1000 ft falls or big rock falls , really any that might be somewhat close to belize city. I have tried to google search without much luck. So any feedback or experience is appreciated. I am snorkeling on 2 other stops so that is why I am looking for more inland adventure.:)
