So last weekend I won the little slot tournament. Won $500, pretty cool.

So now there is this big $100,000 tourney on the DREAM on May 24th that I got a certificate to play in.

Question. With the air fair to get to N.O. and the cost of the 7 game cruise, im trying to see if its worth it.

Getting %25 off the cruise is nice but wish it was more.

Now on to this tournament. I hear you could buy a seat in the tournament on that cruise for a $500! Wow!

So has anyone ever competed in one of this BIG DADDY $100,000 slot tournaments? How did it all work? How many winner? Any breakdown?

Again, trying to figure out if its worth the trip and spending the $ since I already have a cruise planned in March!

Any info would be great!!

I think the prices for the dream for the big slot tourny cruise is a bit higher.

Plus if you have to fly, it could add up $$$.

If you guys were planning a vacation in the summer anyway it could be worth it.

But if your going to make $ and come out ahead, I'd pass.

Though if your driving distance from LA, I'd say it might be worth it.

Price out the trip,

Let's say 2 people, how much you'll be spending for the entire trip.

With airfare and the cruise, port fees, taxes, tips, do you drink? Spending $ at the ports, spending $ at the casino.

Chances are you wont make your $ back. As long as your fine with that, then go!

Chances are you'll make zero, if that's cool, go!

My husband and myself were both on the one in November on the Breeze. We received the percentage off our room and you have to book this rate in order to be in the tournament. We had found a better casino rate and had booked it for that cruise, but when I called to register us for the tournament with our certificates, they made us book at the higher rate. Once your on the ship, you have to register and bring your certificate with you when you do, They gave us a free T-shirt and lanyard. At the time of registration that day, they will assign you a time to for the first round. They start at 9am on the second day. They had I believe over 700 people in the tourney. By the end of the day it was narrowed to 150, I believe. then they went on to the next day. points start over. That group got an extra ballcap. The top 10 go on to the finals which was the 4th night.

1st place- $50,000

2nd place-$15,000

3rd place- $10,000

I believe they paid out 50 places, it could have been more but I don't remember as we were knocked out in the first round, lol. They had a lot of raffles. It was crazy in the casino as it was also a Premier Cruise. It was so packed that there was a lot of waiting for the slot machine. It was a fun trip, just not sure I would go back when it is that crowded.

Most of the info above is correct but I will tweak it just a bit. there was a total of 795 people in the tourney. There were 150 of us left on the second round which then left the final 16. I managed to come in number 40 which gave me $200. It was fun but it did take up lots of my time since you get caught up in watching everyone else play to figure out where you are in the standings.

You do have to do your cabin reservation through the promotions department but I was able to get two price reductions when the online price changed. As I was told that we got the % off what ever published rate was out there however not on the TBA rate.

My vote is that you go and take that chance. You can sell your seat also. Do it at a low price so you get ride of it. Some people were not able to sell the entry because they wanted full or near full price.

GOOD LUCK either way!
