Rangers76 Posted December 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2014 We disembark in Venice. There are seven of us with lots of luggage. Some with mobility issues. I am thinking we will have the ship, nieuw amsterdam, take our luggage the night before to the terminal and am hopping there are porters there to bring the bags to a four wheeled taxi to bring us to the airport for a 1:30 flight. Is this possible or is there a better way to do this. We were looking at luggage forward but a cost of over $4000 it seemed a bit much. If we hire a private transfer are they allowed in the terminal to retrieve our luggage? Trying to avoid the ship transfer but willing to pay for assistance with our luggage. kestrel Posted December 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Since you have a lot of luggage and passengers with mobility issue, I think ship transfer is easier for you.
Rare fabnfortysomething Posted December 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2014 our experiences with Venice port was that luggage porters were conspicuous by their absence-with a disabled husband would have definitely appreciated their services instead of having to drag our luggage across the spread out port area
