CatgirlNC Posted December 8, 2014 #28 Share Posted December 8, 2014 What qualifies as a milestone? We're celebrating our anniversary and bought FTTF, did we wast money? Milestone, in this instance, refers to a Carnival loyalty program for people taking their 25th, 50th, 75th or 100th cruise. From the Carnival FAQ page: What is the Milestone program? Milestone Recognition Program denotes a guest’s 25th, 50th 75th and 100th revenue cruise with Carnival. Guests will receive a special Milestone Sail & Sign card on their corresponding Milestone cruise. We want to distinguish guests on their Milestone sailing with a unique card so that we can make his/her Milestone experience extra special and memorable. After this milestone cruise, they will revert to the card that corresponds to their VIFP level. Guests will receive the full set of benefits according to their VIFP level. In addition to a special Sail & Sign Card, the guest will be granted the opportunity to redeem a future onboard credit equivalent to 25%, 50% or 75%, corresponding to the milestone reached. A letter will be sent to the guest advising them of this earned benefit that they could redeem for any sailing in the next 18 months. This letter will include a redemption code and redemption instructions.

If so, did you think it was worth it? How was your experience with The Native Choice?

SKosto Posted December 8, 2014 Author #32 Share Posted December 8, 2014 Curious about your tour with The Native Choice....did you also go to the Bacalar Resort after the ruins tour? If so, did you think it was worth it? How was your experience with The Native Choice? I just did the Chacchoben ruins with them. Our group was only 4 people total, so it was pretty much a private tour. It was very informative, and our guide, Kasi, spoke near perfect english. She seemed extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions that were asked of her. Getting out of the port was quite interesting, because by design they made it very difficult to see the exit.
SKosto Posted December 8, 2014 Author #33 Share Posted December 8, 2014 In which ports did you tender? How did it go when you had to? We tendered at Grand Cayman and Belize. I had fttf, so I cant vouch for how the actual tender sticker process went, but we just went to guest services, wait ed a couple minutes and were escorted down to the front of the line (we were pretty early and there never seemed to be a line on both days). Grand Cayman is a 5 minute ride, Belize is about 15 minutes.

SKosto Posted December 9, 2014 Author #36 Share Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) How would you describe the other passengers, especially with regard to their age? About how many kids? I would say the crowd seemed to edge towards mid 40s to 50s. Im 30 and my girlfriend 27 and we didn't have trouble finding people to socialize with. This was a premier casino cruise so take that into account as well. Also, this was right between the major holidays and breaks for schools, with that said, I still saw a decent amount of kids onboard. They weren't even taking the welcome aboard pictures yet. " Spot on ... I had FTTF, very organized departure from the terminal to the ship as above. TIP : Belize tender ride - smaller boats are MUCH faster. took one from ship into the port, it was less than 15 minutes into port. Rode the double decker BIG tender back to the ship in the afternoon, when the sea was much calmer and it was over 40 minutes!! We were put-putting out of the port... and it never got faster!! Other than that it was a great week. I was concerned based on posts the last few weeks, but the ship was clean, and staff new what they were doing. They still have an issue with controlling where 'announcements' are heard. Tom. Edited December 9, 2014 by 5000

I agree about the tenders, I had small one going in and we were moving, and the bigger one did seem to go slower, Im not sure it was that long but definitely slower. I will have the fun times posted tomorrow.

Did they have Seuss at Sea brunch? Thanks!! Yes there is a pool with a retractable roof, however it is not adults only. From my understanding Seuss at sea was to start the following cruise. I'm not sure about the camp, sorry. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Forums mobile app

Thank you The tender boats are two story, and I know for a fact there was someone in a wheelchair on there with us, as well as 2 strollers.
