CJS101715 Posted December 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Hello, My Fiance and I will be cruising with Royal Caribbean October 2015. We were thinking we would like to stay close to port and spend the day on a public beach. We have heard of Surfside Beach? Does it have access to beach chairs? Any restaurants, bars or shopping near by and close to port? What is the beach like? I have read it is about a mile walk along the new linear park? Thanks for any/all information! - Cassie
Arubalisa Posted December 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Reflextions is a beach club located on Surfside Beach. There is some info and photos at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1978552 They offer chaises, umbrellas, bar, restaurant and swimming pool. Your ship will dock at the cruise terminal in downtown Oranjestad. There are tons of shops in Oranjestad. There are bars and restaurants as well within walking distance of the ship. Shops close at 6 pm.
CJS101715 Posted March 17, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Thank you! Sounds like we will be spending the day at Reflextions beach for the day!
soccer2010 Posted April 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2015 We were at Reflections April 3rd. It is a great beach and bar. Low key, not crowded and reasonably priced. It was a little bit of a walk from the cruise terminal but well worth it.
