mpoole3 Posted December 24, 2014 Author #76 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Thanks for the Great Pics & Review. The Bahama 3 and 4 day cruises out of Port Canaveral on board the Enchantment are our favorite getaways. A half days drive and we are there. We really enjoy the Enchantment, for a seventeen year old ship that sails with up to 4,800 passengers each week, we think She's great... We are booked in October and December... We've sailed the Sovereign 3 times, Monarch 11 times and Enchantment 7 times to the Bahamas out of Port Canaveral since 2007... We've visited Nassau 29 times and CoCo Cay 21 times. I've got to mention the New Years Eve Cruise on Enchantment... We did this cruise December 30, 2013, New Years Eve in CoCO Cay and New Years Day in Nassau... We have it booked again in 2014... We will be Celebrating New Years Eve in one week in Nassau.... The Enchantment knows how to Party on New Years Eve. Parties about the Ship for any taste, they had two combined bands in the Centrum doing Pop/Rock. They had a Latin band in Boleros, They had the Ship's Ochestra doing Big Band music in the Spotlight Lounge and a Pianist in the Schooner Bar. Every host/hostess started bringing out trays of complimentary Champaign about 11:45pm. There was a Buffet on the Pool Deck at 12:15am and if you were wondering what was happening in the Viking Crown Lounge, well, they started a Disco Party about 12:15AM (The First Party of 2014) that went, I'm Told, until 5AM... Reyno, the Concierge, had a party in his lounge too... The Enchantment is just a FUN ship. Dennis & Sue Wow - That sounds like so much fun. I've always wanted to do a new years cruise, but never booked on because of the price. Reading this makes me not care so much about the price! Have a blast and save some stella for me! Tell Paul at the Oasis Pool Side bar I said, "See you Jan 9th!" If you can't remember my name just tell him that guy who drinks stella with a camera, he will know. mpoole3 Posted December 24, 2014 Author #77 Share Posted December 24, 2014 After a few hours on the beach and touching base with friends at home, I decided to start walking back to the ship. On the walk back you pass Senor Frogs, so I decided to go in and take pictures. I didn't stay, I really wasn't in the party mood. If you have never been, you need to give it a try and bring lots of cash for drinks. $15-$20 Each.
mpoole3 Posted December 24, 2014 Author #78 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Right across the street from senor frog is the straw market, and they had a local high school band playing for us. I've never seen this done before but I was a lot of fun, people were dancing in the streets. Now I said high school because it was a marching band, but appears it could have been a mix of all ages. Rcarper4001 Posted December 24, 2014 #79 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Thanks Stacy! I'm trying hard to keep posting. I might have to break for a few days, I run wireless stores so this is our final push before the holiday. But I'll for sure finish on Christmas day. Too far to go home... Merry Christmas Michael, Sorry you can not get home for Christmas. Hopefully a family will take you for the day. Thanks for the review! I just found your podcast, very good. OTownNick Posted December 24, 2014 #80 Share Posted December 24, 2014 I've never been on the Majesty, only her sister Monarch a few years ago. I've thought about going on the Majesty, but I'm not sure I could NOT do the Enchantment. I have so many friends "crew" I've made on the Enchantment, they are almost like my family. I was hugging crew as I was walking off... U should go with us on the final voyage of the MJ. 4/29/

mpoole3 Posted December 24, 2014 Author #82 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Tonight was formal night, which is always my favorite evening on every cruise. I enjoyed a few cocktails while listening to the live music at the R Bar. Those who might be curious as to what type of music they play, I'd say they try to play a large variety 90/00's. This singer has actually been on board for quite sometime now. She is great and really gets into the music.
mpoole3 Posted December 24, 2014 Author #83 Share Posted December 24, 2014 At 8:00PM the captain comes out to talk about the crew and breif history on the ship. For those that might enjoy a free glass of champagne, you don't want to miss this event. Thomas did such a good job, for only his second cruise as the CD. I look forward to seeing him in a few weeks. mpoole3 Posted December 24, 2014 Author #84 Share Posted December 24, 2014 The Captains reception turns into the flag show, they go down the list of how many crew members they have from each country. Some of the larger countries even had a dance off. I have not seen this event in awhile and actually enjoyed it.
mpoole3 Posted December 24, 2014 Author #85 Share Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) Okay by now I suppose you all are ready for the good stuff... Food Porn! Night two is always the best menu IMO. I enjoyed myself again with the couple at the table and I must mention the bar service was actually good, he just brought us the same drinks as last night without asking! 2 Points for him! Ha! Started out the the traditional Caesar salad followed by lobster bisque - which I'd put against chops french onion soup it's that good. As you know I love meat so of course I order the filet of beef. If you are really hunger, order two because it's not alot of food. But I didn't order more because I knew about the large midnight buffet in just a few short hours. mpoole3 Posted December 25, 2014 Author #90 Share Posted December 25, 2014 So I know I said formal evening was my favorite event, then I said the quest, and now I'm going to say the midnight pool deck party. Okay I might have a few favorite events, but that's okay. We left Nassau at midnight and they have a pool deck party 11:30-12:30 featuring the famous midnight buffet. There is also plenty of dancing to live music and this is understood but drinks flowing.

mpoole3 Posted December 25, 2014 Author #94 Share Posted December 25, 2014 What a fun day, I always enjoy day two the best on the weekend cruises. You are well rested it's always a really long day. Shortly after the pool deck party I called it a night, I think... :) I actually spend a few hours in the hot tub and then called it a night. Stay Tuned.. Tomorrow is Coco Cay! My favorite place in the world, I call it true paradise.
mpoole3 Posted December 25, 2014 Author #95 Share Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) Day 3 ~ Coco Cay Coco Cay is my favorite place to visit, because I fell so relaxed here with no concept of time. Most loyal to royal fans enjoy Labadee better, which is fine. I enjoy Coco Cay, because it's an actual island and it's undeveloped. I slept in extra late today, meaning I completely missed breakfast but that's what holiday is all about, right? Around 11:00AM I took the tender over to the island with zero lines. mpoole3 Posted December 25, 2014 Author #96 Share Posted December 25, 2014 This is my favorite picture I took the whole cruise. We actually shared the island with the Majesty of The Seas. I've posted pictures like this before but it's always a good shot. Pulling into Coco Cay.
OTownNick Posted December 25, 2014 #97 Share Posted December 25, 2014 Michael, many times pictures don't do justice to the actual view, but in YOUR case, the pictures seem to look even BETTER than the actual views. I enjoy them so much. Makes me anxious for my next cruise, and you can be sure there's always a EN cruise just around the corner for me
mpoole3 Posted December 25, 2014 Author #98 Share Posted December 25, 2014 Shortly after arriving to Coco Cay it was lunch time, now remember before I post my meal this was my breakfast and lunch! They opened the lines around 11:45am and I quickly jumped in line. Some people don't enjoy the lunch here, but I find it okay. I mean who can turn down ribs, burgers, and mac-n-cheese. mpoole3 Posted December 25, 2014 Author #100 Share Posted December 25, 2014 After lunch I went around and made a new friend. Kidding - But I did think he was pretty. You will find them walking around all over the island looking for food that is.
