sports addict Posted December 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2014 We are looking to take a cruise to the Eastern Carribean and would like to know what month of the year can you get the best deal. Also, if you wait until about a month before a cruise, can you get a better price if the ship is not sold out ? Thanks in advance for any insight. Out to sea! Posted December 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) Best times for deals can be had usually early November, early December, January, and February. Because kids are not out of school at these times, they usually don't sell out and the best time to book is probably two weeks to a month out (or book ES 5+ months out and hopefully get price drops.......if you can live with the restrictions). FYI - Everything about pricing is stated as usually. No guarantees on anything having to do with pricing. Edited December 24, 2014 by Out to sea! However, if you are ok with a GTY cabin (chosen by Carnival), the best deals are (usually) within the last month. But if you want a specific cabin location, I agree with the ES if you are ok with the restrictions.
ahoughton Posted December 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 24, 2014 You might also keep an eye on September and October. Usually from September to spring break are some pretty good deals. Prices can change several times daily. Look for the different specials and when you find a deal, pull the trigger.
vwrestler171 Posted December 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 25, 2014 I've found the cheapest after Thanksgiving to the 2nd week of Dec to be the cheapest. Plus we get away from the cold of home to the warmth of the caribbean. 2 big reasons to cruise when we do.
