How do you communicate between rooms?

Hi! I'm new to Carnival. We sailed Disney last year and really loved the wave phones. Does Carnival have any type of phone that we can use to call between rooms? My kids will be staying next door and we want to have them call vs. walk in the hall. We have walkie talkies for carrying around the ship too.

Thanks!

For stateroom to stateroom communication there are phones that you can use that are free of charge for such calls. Think of it like being at a hotel on land. You can use the phone that is in the room to call another room. The moment you try to call anywhere else (such as home etc) then you will be hit with an additional fee.

There is also a new Carnival Hub App that is being used on some ships and if you purchase one of the new internet packages it also has a communication section where you can text each other on the ship.

You can use the app to search for things to do, track your account, etc.

Also, if nothing else it has a cool count down to your next cruise :) The app was free when downloaded it, will test it out in February.

Does anyone know what is the fee to use the app option to chat with other onboard guests?

Welcome to Cruise Critic! :)

Per the good replies above, you'll have no problem calling from cabin to cabin.

Also, sometimes helpful, is being able to call a cabin on a phone located in public areas.

Look forward to having a great cruise! :D
