Looking for Clean/Inexpensive Hotel in NOLA

DW and I are flying into NOLA the night before embarkation. We are looking for a decent place to stay to get a good night's sleep without breaking the bank. Hopefully a restaurant or two within walking distance of the hotel. I'd like to find one with a shuttle service from the airport then take a taxi to the ship the next day. Any suggestions?

We stayed at the Hyatt Place Convention Center after our Serenade TA cruise in November and it was really nice with one of the best complimentary hot/cold breakfast buffets we've seen in a hotel. The staff was very friendly and room were large in this modern hotel. It is only 1 1/2 blocks from the Julia Street cruise terminal as only the Convention Center separates the two so you won't need to take a taxi unless you have a mobility issue or can't handle walking that distance with your luggage. We had no problem walking to this hotel from the cruise terminal with our luggage. There are close by restaurants and the River Walk shopping mall is nearby, right beside the cruise terminal. The French Quarters is a 15 to 20 minutes walk away or there is a river front streetcar stop at the cruise terminal. You'll have to take a taxi from the airport at a flat rate of $33 for two or $14 per passenger for 3 or more.

We got our stay at a very good senior rate, for those 62 and over.
