I'm going to book either a Getaway or Escape 2-bedroom suite for 3/2016… My MIL says she wants to come with our family on our next cruise, but ya never know with her!!!

 

My question is…. am I better booking 4 people then adding her as the 5th as it gets close…. or booking 5 people than removing her from the reservation in case she changes her mind!?!?!

Easier is not equal to better.

 

Better to book her now, and cancel her if necessary at or before final payment date.

 

Just because your suite can hold 5 today, doesn't mean it can hold 5 close to sailing date. Individual cabin capacity is related to bookings elsewhere in nearby locations on the ship, primarily to comply with lifeboat capacities in a given muster area.

 

Book her now. There are a couple recent threads here where people were very disappointed due to this type of problem.
