Has anyone been to Nassua recently? Is the water warm right now? We will be there on a cruise in Jan & haven't decided what to do yet. We'd like to see some of the historic site, eat some local food & spend some time at the beach. Any restaurant or your suggestions? Wondering about the food tour? Or chocolate tour? For the beach we'd like a calm beach w snorkeling away from huge crowds in a safe area of possible. Any suggestions? Is a beach excursion necessary? Feels crazy to spend so much to sit on the beach unless we have access to other things or drinks. Do any of the hotel day pass options sound like a good fit for our beach needs?

We recently visited and walked from the port to Fort Charlotte ($2 per person) then walked to Fish fry and ate at Twin Brothers. Ardastra Gardens is not far. The #10 Jitney took us back into town. We passed a beach on the way to the fort , I believe it was Junkanoo.
