Sunshine Ocean view vs Deluxe Ocean view Cabin

Hi everyone,

This might sound like a really stupid question but I wanted to ask about Ocean view rooms ... Specifically Sunshine's different types of ocean view rooms deluxe ocean view and ocean view ...

My dad, my sister and I all share the one cabin, we fit with room in the ocean view cabin but I have seen a picture of what I think is called a deluxe ocean view room ... Few questions (might sound stupid)

  • On carnival website there is only three prices, sites, ocean view and interior, how do you know what category a deluxe is from a standard ocean view?

  • What is the price difference?

  • Are the locations of the deluxe rooms set on particular floors? (Eg similar to cove balconies being from two on the Dream)?

  • What are the perks to having a deluxe against having a standard?

I figure the pice will be more as it is deluxe, but aside from a bigger window is there anything more unique about it? More space? Set locations? Are there any negatives- rooms overlooking public walking areas, etc?

Sunshine has oceanview cabins on decks 1, 2, 5 & 9.

Decks 1& 2 are standard oceanviews and were there as the Destiny.

Deck 5 oceanviews are bigger (220 sq. ft.) and are triples and quads. These were added during the transformation to the Sunshine. They are aft cabins.

6 oceanview cabins were also added forward, deck 9. 2 grand scenic oceanview cabins (320 sq.ft.) and 4 scenic oceanview cabins (220 sq. ft.). Both grand scenics are quads, and I believe the 2 of the smaller scenic oceanviews are doubles and the other 2 are quads.

Sunshine doesn't have deluxe oceanviews.

Eta: The new deck 5 cabins are cat. 6D, scenic oceanview 6J, grand scenic 6K.

Thank you so much :) oops my bad haha I thought they were called deluxe but scenic ocean view sounds better .. My only concern of the location of those rooms would be deck five is where the casino is and the show lounge / night club so if u were on five or six you would have those noise issues wouldn't you?
