Moving your reservation ?

We are booked to leave Feb 24 on the Fantasy for a 5-day cruise.

 

I now see that the Feb 8 voyage on Fantasy, which is a 7-day with better ports is now getting pretty low in price and will likely be lower than my 5-day. :(

 

Has anyone ever switched their reservation?

 

Is there a penalty?

You will need to cancel your current reservation in order to book the new one. - they don't look upon it as a "transfer" but rather a "cancellation". I believe you are within the 100% penalty so you would lose all of your money.

You could call and ask but you are within penalty period so it would be subject to their needs.

I thought it was only 50% at more than 30 days out?

Could be. I'm on my phone so haven't looked it up. Was trying to go from memory. Either way, the penalties are substantial this late in the game.
