SHORE EXCURSION: We took a tender out to the dock and found our way out of the terminal. We also decided to do this excursion on our own. The family we sat with at dinner told us about this great cave tubing company.

WWW.CAVETUBING.COM It was literally half the price of what they offered on the ship and we felt sooooo much safer with these guys, being 10 people to one guide, instead of 40 to 1 on the Carnival tour. They came and picked us up outside of the cruise terminal and took us on an hour bus ride. These guys were very nice and enjoyed doing this. They gave us some history and taught us a few things about Belize and their people. These guys used to work for Carnival, but decided to go out on their own. We go to the same exact place the Carnival people do, but we go on a better and longer cave tour than the others. You need to be healthy enough to walk through some rocky terrain. You go on a 30 minute walk through the jungle and you finally make it to the starting point. They sit you in some inner tubes with a life jacket and a headlight, and you hook onto someone so you don't get separated. Bring a water camera, because there are some beautiful shots to take. We had a great time, even though I got caught in a whirlpool, but they came to my rescue very quickly. The companies name is also the web address.
