cruiselovinfamily Posted June 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2004 Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach Oceanfront? How is the location? Is it on the beach? What are the suites like? Are the rooms clean? I have a king kid suite reserved. Are there many places to eat nearby? I would appreciate any info you can provide! Ellya Posted June 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2004 We stayed there in 1998. I don't know if they have had any refurbishments since then, so keep that in mind. The hotel is right on the beach, and they offer nice rental chairs/umbrella set ups. There is a restaurant on site which felt like a typical Denny's style place. Overall the buiding was a bit old and dated feeling, nothing really awful, but I thought it needed a remodel. We had some problems with noisy guests (the POLICE were having some type of convention there and being too rowdy!), but we requested a quieter room for the remainder of our stay and it was better. If you get a good price and you just want nice beach access it's ok, but if you want a modern hotel I'd look around. I guess I would give it 3 stars out of 5 at most. Two stars for the hotel and an extra one for the beach.
