caber Posted January 16, 2015 #26 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Buy some mini deod, toothpaste, moisturiser, sun lotion etc. in the supermarket before you go and take them in your hand luggage. It is good to have them to freshen up when you arrive anyway in case there is a delay with the luggage arriving in your cabin. This way you can have them for the morning you are leaving, packing any larger toiletries in the suitcase the night before.
Whatshallicallmyself Posted January 16, 2015 Author #27 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Thank you caber I hadn't thought about needing things when we arrive, that is what I will do! This cruising lark isn't easy I can see I need several lists for different days, last day most important clothes! Now I also know on the last night everyone is naked! Thanks all! richleeds Posted January 16, 2015 #28 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Now I also know on the last night everyone is naked! Thanks all! Going by the average age of P&O punters, I doubt this would be an appetising sight.
winniesbestm8 Posted January 16, 2015 #29 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Be careful, there are regular incidents where passengers have phoned reception on the final morning. 'we don't have any clothes to wear, we put them in the case' That is hilarious

sasscham Posted January 24, 2015 #36 Share Posted January 24, 2015 It is out first time on a fly cruise and with all the above answers I now know what to do about hairspray, sunscreen, deodorant, etc, but can some kind lady explain about make up items such as foundation, lipstick, mascara, eye-shadow, etc. Do they go in the small plastic bag or are some items prohibited. I don't like the idea of travelling without make up!!
richleeds Posted January 24, 2015 #37 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Can I carry lipstick and deodorant in my hand baggage? You can take solid cosmetics, such as standard lipsticks or stick deodorants, in your hand baggage. Liquid, aerosol or gel cosmetics, including atomisers, creams, roll-on deodorants, sprays and gels are subject to the standard liquid rules. They must be carried in containers of 100ml or less, within a single closed transparent resealable plastic bag that has a capacity no greater than 1 litre (approximately 20cm x 20cm). annieuk Posted January 24, 2015 #38 Share Posted January 24, 2015 I was told at Gatwick that lipstick and mascara should be in the clear plastic bag, not in my hand luggage.

Lipstick as a solid can go in your hand luggage, however lip gloss or mascara must go in your plastic bag.
