Lady Librarian Posted August 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2005 Since Celebrity is owned by Royal Carribbean can you use your RC Crown & Anchor status for preferred treatament / benefits on a Celebrity cruise? I'm curious too about how that works. I only have one cruise credit from RCL but I think you have to have at least 5 before any reciprocal stuff kicks in. Anyone else know?
Petert Posted August 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2005 The RCI and Celebrity loyalty programs (Captains Club and Crown and Anchor respectively} are completely independant, and qualifying cruises can't be used on other cruise line to achieve a higher club level. The good news is that when you cruise on either line you get the benefit of your highest club level attained on either loyalty program. This transfer of benefit levels does not apply if you at the first level in one program and making your first cruise on the other. For exanple; if you are a Diamond level member with RCI, and have only one cruise on Celebrity you will be recieve Elite level benefits on you next Celebrity cruise (or vice versa). reggierail Posted August 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2005 If you have cruised on Celebrity before and are a member if the Captain's Club and are at platinum or Diamond status in the Crown & Anchor Society, you will be automatically given reciprocal status in the Captain's Club. Even if you have never sailed on Celebrity and are at the Platinum level or above in C&A and have a current booking on Celebrity, you can apply and will be given a membership number and recieve benefits on your first cruise. AFT_LOVER Posted August 28, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2005 to be recognized by the opposite cruise line. So on "X" 5 cruises makes you SELECT which is PLATINUM on RCCL. BUt remember when you cruise on RCCL, you get credits based on length & stateroom category just like "X" but they are RCCL not "X". 10 cruise credits you are ELITE on "X" and DIAMOND on RCCL. Hope that answered the questions......
