JohnMI Posted January 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2015 (I'm asking this here instead of the Wedding forum because it seems more Carnival-specific and I expect others here are more likely to have been just GUESTS of a wedding and not involved in the wedding party.) We're going on a cruise in March where a cousin is getting married on the Sensation at Port Canaveral. We will be allowed to board around 10:30AM and have been told that we won't be allowed to go to our rooms until much later (which makes sense and is fine with me, of course). My question is: what happens after the wedding activities as far as access on the ship goes? In other words, let's say that the wedding is over by noon or so -- and then there is a small reception after. Will we be able to move about the ship (but not go to our rooms) at that time? For example, could I go to the counter and book an excursion? Also, anyone have an idea of what time we would be allowed to go to our rooms? Thanks for any info! - John... Lovefuninthesun Posted January 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Yes, you will be allowed to move about the ship. By 11:30 or so others (platinum/diamond, suites, FTTF) will be boarding as well. You will have access to your room by 1:00 or 1:30.

Yes you will be free to move about the ship. The Lido buffet and a few other food spots will be open by around 11 or so. The Lido bars will be open. The shore excursion desk usually opens within 30 minutes to an hour or so after regular embarkation begins. Cabins are usually available around 1 PM unless you pay for Faster to the Fun which costs $50 per cabin. FTTF will give you access to your cabin at early embarkation times (11 AM or so) and priority luggage delivery to your cabin (other benefits too). FTTF can be purchased online before your cruise as an excursion. Have a great cruise, John. Edited January 16, 2015 by winddawn
