Yazoo cruiser Posted January 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Posted this on the port of call page but thought I might get a response quicker here. I am 72 years old, in fairly good shape, walk 1-2 miles a day. Was wondering how far the walk is from the bus to the river. Also is it even terrain or is it hilly an rocky? Any help would be appreciated
laprof Posted January 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2015 We did this over New Year's Eve and loved it! We chose the tubes, not the raft (you tell them on the bus which you prefer.) There is little walking involved. The bus takes you to where you actually finish; here you get your life vest, helmet, and rental water shoes if you didn't bring your own. This is where you will exit the river at the end and is where the food pavilion is for lunch. Once outfitted with your gear, you board the bus again for a short ride to the start. There you merely go down 20 or so steps and either get into a raft or put your tube in the water. You should have no trouble at all. This was one of our top excursions on any of our cruises and would love to do it again.
