Mariner of the Seas - formal nights on Asia Itinerary?

Hi we are travelling to China and Japan and understand that there are some differences on these Asian itineraries, for example drinks packages are different. Can anyone tell me if they have formal nights (we are an 8 night) or do they not bother on these routes? I cannot see this in our booking information.

Have you gone on your cruise, and do you now know?

We will be on a cruise departing Shanghai in June 2015 and would like to know too.

 

The TA told me that there is 2 formal nights - but I am wondering does Formal mean a different dress code for Asian cruises vis-a-vis those on western itineraries.

Got off the Mariner 2wks ago on a 7 night cruise. We had 2 formal nights. You didn't have to attend though
