We are considering sailing on Arcadia this summer. This year we've been on Queen Elizabeth/Victoria and enjoyed them, so have experience of Vista class ships. We've sailed on P&O before on Aurora, Oceana and Azura and preferred Aurora and Oceana to Azura. How have people found Arcadia, do you think we would enjoy the experience? We like the Glass House on Azura and see there is one now one one Aurora, so we are a little disappointed there isn't one on Arcadia, despite it's fairly recent refit.

we have done a b2b and transatlantic on her. Seems to ride well.

We liked her.

We like the redone Crows Nest, facing over the bow.

I managed to not get lost quite so often.

Some people say her décor is boring, personally I prefer that than screaming loud carpets.

She is adult only, so age demographic may be slightly higher.

Like the way the buffet is laid out. We never had q's in there, whenever we grabbed something there.

I doubt i will do this ship again, we were on first sitting so we would go to the 8.30pm theatre show which lasts 45 minutes,

the next two entertainments for the evening would start at 9.30 in the Rising Sun and The Globe but both of these venues are quite small so unless you miss the theatre show or race from the theatre you would be very lucky to get a seat in either venue, we usually missed out and ended up doing the quiz in the Crows nest at 10.30pm,

if you are on second sitting and you go to the theatre then the night is virtually over as everywhere else will be packed.

I have to say the food is still as good as ever imo in the MDR and the East restaurant which is a £15 supplement is fantastic

Another fan of the ship here.

I agree with the English Lady and Blodwyn, the décor is fine, its very contemporary - but not overly so.

The layout it well done, it just seems to flow - from bow to stern. While I found the Oceana fine, on occasion it feels very much the same and took a while to get used to.

I've never been in one of the Glass Houses, but if it is a popular addition on other ships, then I wonder if they would add one to Arcadia. Although its just a question of where?

I loved the Arcadia too. We had a lovely cabin in August with a very roomy balcony.

Hi - would you mind sharing with us your cabin number? We are on Arcadia in July and although we went on her in her maiden season we are struggling to remember either which cabin we were in or what she was like... apart from the fact that we did enjoy what was a 3 night taster.

Thanks

Yes, no problem. We had three balcony cabins in a row, E146, E148 and E150. I chose E deck because it has the biggest balconies and they were very roomy. We were beside the lifts and stairs but never heard a thing. Would book these cabins again. Hope this helps.
