teacher2cruiser Posted January 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2015 Our group of four (two couples in our fifties) had planned to book the tour "A Taste of Nassau" so that we could see some of Nassau's history and culture, including the Queen's staircase and a brief view of Atlantis Resort. That particular tour is no longer available. We have no desire to do glass bottom boats or aquariums. Just some Nassau sights. Possibly lunch at The Arawak Cay and a Kalilk beer or two. Can anyone give us any advice on a tour that might be just for us from a safe reputable group? We will be in Nassau in March on Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas. Island_Chica Posted January 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2015 Nassau is a tough port, I think. Unless you want to do Atlantis (or soon the new mega resort), I've got a hard time filling my day there. Why don't you go outside of what the cruise line offers to book? The #1 activity in Nassau on Trip Advisor is the "Tru Bahamian Food Tours". If you want to hire a driver for the day, in the past we've used Jermaine's Taxis and Tours and have found him to be wonderful. We used him for transport arranged in advanced when we went to Atlantis - we need a taxi with car seats for our kids and he happily obliged and was such a friendly guy. cruiseapril Posted January 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2015 RCI offers two tours which have city tours: Paradise Island & Sightseeing Tour Ardastra Gardens & City Tour We have done some ship's tours in Nassau and like being with a group. We also enjoy going to the British Colonial Hilton after a tour- for tea or a drink. It is a lovely hotel right near the pier area. See their website for info. Ardastra Gardens also has a good website.
