Booking question

DH and I always cruise together so we book and pay together. I have two friends who live in different cities who want to book a cabin together and pay separately. If one calls RCI and books, can the other then call and pay their share of the deposit? Silly question, but I have never done it so have no idea how that works. We cruise often with my mom and a friend of hers, but they live in the same city and just get together and call and pass the phone back and forth.

I'd have 1 do the deposit and other make the next payment, etc

why not just conference the call and each can make their own payment?
