Parking at New Orleans Port

Has anyone used the parking garage across the street from the Carnival terminal in New Orleans? The cost is $8 per day compared to the $16 per day at the Carnival private parking garage.

 

Would like your thoughts on the two.

Yes and it's Fulton St. parking. It worked well for us. It's not marked as Fulton st. parking but has a sign marked "PARK" with lights around it.

 

Check the New Orleans port board for a bunch on info on this location.

We used the Fulton street parking garage a couple weeks ago. However, they charged us $12/day to park there, not the $8 or $10 they have listed on their website. Maybe you only get that rate if you reserve a spot online?

WE just used their facilty last week. They work great with getting you to the Port and back. $8 is if you park on the top of the garage....not a problem for me to be able to save money. Highly recommend it. We did make the reservation online beforehand though.http://www.airportparkingreservation.com/

Hi, Did you sail on Carnival or Norweigan? 5 night on Carnival or the 7 night Thinking about booking the Dream on 2/22 and there is also a Norweigan ship leaving the same day. How was getting around the area/parking with all the traffic? Was it a mess?
