One of the first things I do is go into my phone settings and turn off the auto time adjust :) and set my phone to ship time. You did what I am always afraid I would do, and one reason why I got everyone passports :)

Super glad you got lucky and didn't miss the ship!

Day Six-A Fun Day at Sea, and a lot of pics

This morning I did not get up and run instead I walked around taking pictures for this review. I like to take pictures on the last sea day because most people are still sleeping early in the morning and I have the ship to myself. I like to start from the upper most deck and work my way down taking pictures.

Each ship has its own life preservers and benches so I of course took ones of the Conquest.

Usually there is one day that towel animals take over the lido deck, but that was everyday on the Conquest.

There also was a play area for younger kids by Camp Carnival

Like previously mentioned there is an art theme to the Conquest and I found it to be quite pretty.

This is part of the atrium wall behind the glass elevators

There were also ballerinas at the end of the stairwells and in the Degas Lounge, comedy club.

Each elevator also had a different painting on the ceiling.

The entrance to the Lido deck also had this awesome mosaic.

The lamps on deck five were cool little flowers, DH said he thought they were trumpets.

After I was done gathering pictures I went to see if the family was awake, they were not. I grabbed my book and headed to the Lido deck to read. There was a guy roaming around with a bloody Mary cart and I had never had one so I decided to try one.

IMG_0765_zpsyb1mejgt.jpg

He asked me if I wanted a spicy one, and since I love the Spicy Chipotle Pineapple Martini, I said yes. I watched as he added pepper and Worcestershire sauce to the mix and gulped. I took a few sips and decided I was not a Bloody Mary girl.

My family was still not awake so I decided to grab some breakfast, my last breakfast burrito at Blue Iguana. I ate out on the Lido deck and read some.

Finally the family was awake and breakfast was systematically being put away. They got some piecemeal breakfast and DH hurried to sign up for the Texas Hold 'Em tournament.

Knowing he was going to be gone for a few hours DD wanted to head to Camp Carnival. She headed there until 1:00 pm when they were closed. I headed to the top deck and grabbed a chair and read. I watched the whole ice carving competition, put my legs in the pool to cool off, and then went to get DD from Camp Carnival.

I did not want to leave the ship without getting a Guy's Burger (even though I was not in the mood for burgers) so I grabbed one and took DD to fish and chips for her plain french fries lunch. HOLY MOLY was the line ever long. I had never seen anything like it, fish and chips is usually a hidden secret but people had found out. It took DD 20 minutes to get her french fries.

After lunch we went back to the pool area for awhile we watched the gender showdown and then DD was done. We then took her to the arcade so she could use her Platinum arcade cards.

She played one game time and time again and only got 49 tickets, you needed 50 to get a prize. Some nice gentleman noticed and gave her his points to get a prize, he had 2,500. She was so excited.

It was then time for dinner so she headed to Camp Carnival for dinner. I then got dressed for dinner and headed to the casino to find DH.

I then realized we had not once done the taste bar all cruise, we had been to busy or too stuffed to want it!

I also never used the aft adults only pool, but it looked nice.

We went to our last on board dinner, braced ourselves for the dreaded goodbye song, and enjoyed our last "date" night for awhile.

For a starter I got the bacon mac n' cheese and DH did not get a starter. We both got prime rib as an entree, and DH got Bacon Mac N cheese as an entree as well. We finally ordered dessert since it was the ever yummy cappuccino pie. They sang the dreaded song and we headed back to the room to pack.

We had used our allotted laundry and it was exciting to not have much laundry to do when we got back. After we packed we headed to the Alchemy Bar for one last Chipotle Pineapple Martini. We then went to the Piano bar to see Gustavo for one last time.

Then it was time to pick up DD from Camp Carnival and to call it a night. We both had our last hot chocolate and DH went to the casino for the last time. Before we headed to bed we looked in our mailbox and found out we had won a free cruise!!!!!!

We were so excited, I couldn't sleep all night.

Day Seven-Time to leave a slice of heaven

We woke up around 7:00 and headed to the lido deck to get some breakfast before we hit the road. DD had five chocolate muffins. We headed back to the room, grabbed our self assist bags and headed to deck three to leave. This was the best debarkation we have had yet, very smooth. We went through customs, went out the door, found our shuttle and they took us to our car and we were off on the road by 9:00 am.

Our next adventure will be on the Carnival Valor April 4th sailing to: Aruba, Bonaire, and Grand Turk.

If you have any questions I would be happy to answer and thank you for reading along and letting me relive our vacation!

Hiya Dapper Dan! This is the Conquestionables cruise but just in a different order, right?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

It appears so, while I like this order, I hope they don't change our order simply due to all the arrangements......:p

I read somewhere that the laundry used very hot water and their clothes were shrunk so much they were ruined. Did you find that your laundry was OK? I have never used it. We will be on the Pride for 21 days and I am thinking about trying the free laundry. Thanks

For laundry we only put in clothes we don't care if they get ruined, yes they use VERY hot water and there is fading when we receive our clothing back, but for non-essential clothing it is nice to have it washed and folded and be able to throw it in a suitcase.

No clue about internet pricing.

The cruise director was okay, not overly visible, I wouldn't of even known who he was if we didn't go to the Welcome Aboard show. He liked to give hugs, and I am not a hugger so I stayed clear of him.

We don't really pay attention to cruise directors, that being said our favorite was Jamie Dee on the Sunshine, that girl was EVERYWHERE!

Had the same experience with some fading.

Regarding Park N'Go, they made us park valet and that made us very nervous because you just never know. That being said, they were the quickest both for pick-up and drop off that we have ever had and it seemed very professional. It is a bit difficult to find if you are using Suri to get you there, the roads have changed and she has not been updated. We found it eventually though :)

There were things we did not do on embarkation day that we wanted to it was just so much to do in so little time, things we wanted to do: Spa raffle, Liquor tasting, Sail Away party, Piano Bar with Gustavo (no Camp Carnival), Martini Tasting.....good thing we had a few more days to experience the fun!

Just curious if Conquest has the Taste Bar. I enjoyed it on Splendor but I don't see the Taste Bar listed for Conquest on the Carnival website. I thought all ships have it.
