Silhouette Aft Cabins

I have reviewed some posts and the aft photos that have the cabin numbers, and still have some questions.

The cabin numbers on the Silhouette do not seem to correspond to the photo. I am particularly interested in the Sky Suite cabins cat S1, corners. Does the window washer staging interefere with the views either from the balcony or the porthole (particularly on the upper decks)? Any preference for decks? Is there noise from the cafe above on the uppermost deck? From the photos, the balconies on the lower decks appear larger than those upper decks. Is that so?

If you've stayed in one of these, what are the pros, cons, suggestions?

Thanks.

No blocked porthole. Only one pole in the cabin, on left side of bed so it doesn't interfer with view. No noise. Simply perfect! Enjoy. Caution on deck 8, view not blocked but if it gets windy there is noise from the washer device located above and the pole is on the right side. These were both starboard side.

Have u checked out the S-Class spreadsheet to see what others have stated?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtHczoNeooladEEyVmQwWmJhaGItbFZPUFNudTFZcEE#gid=0

Thanks for the link. It is helpful. (Don't know how i missed the sticky up top - duh!)

There was some mention of the scaffolding partially blocking views to the side on the Sky deck - 10. Can't seem to find anything about the veranda size, so probably not an issue.

Thanks for the tip. Are you talking about the washer scaffolding? In the photos it seems to run up both the port and starboard sides.

We have placed 9376 on hold.

We've stayied on decks 10,9,8 and 7 in the aft s1 corner suite. Since we weren't under the cafe, no noise. On the Soltstice class the noise when docking comes primarily from the front where the anchor is so we never found that to an issue.

We're used to aft noises and vibrations from thrusters when docking, etc. We usually never book any cabin that is under or over a public space, always looking for decks with cabins above and below. I was interested in the Resort Deck (12) because of the exta overhang, which would provide shade and protection from rain. However, we decided the potential for noise from above outweighed that.

The noisiest aft cabin we've had was on the Disney Fantasy. That ship creaked, groaned, rattled and vibrated, even during sailing!
