Suite guests and internet

Recommended Posts

We were in a Grand Suite last week on Navigator. We are the lowest loyalty level, gold. We received a 10% discount on the internet for that level, not our suite status. Higher loyalty members get ever increasing discount percentages until the top levels that get it for free. We'll be silver on next cruise, so maybe 20% off.

We're in a Grand Suite on Explorer in May, but turn Diamond level on that cruise so our September cruise I should get my free hour internet! But thanks for your help.

DW and I sailed Explorer last summer. We both really enjoyed our time at the 19th Hole for both before and after dinner happy hour. The views were wonderful and not crowded at all as this area is reserved for suites guest and pinnacle members only.

I hope you have Savior as your bartender there he made the time we spent there a great time .He was GREAT !

We did stop by the CL one time and it was way too crowded.

Thank you too for this info. It all helps to make the most of our suite guest experience if we know these things before we go, rather than finding them out during the cruise. Very much appreciated!

Forgot to mention that on embarkation you can eat your lunch at Portifino. What we did was stop at Portifino's and leave our carry on next to the table we sat at. Then we went into Windjammer and got our lunch and went back to Portifino's to eat. There is an entrance on the starboard side with a sign saying that the area is reserved for gold card guest. They will ask to see your sea pass card the first time but somehow they remember you after that.

DW and I ate breakfast there every day. Breakfast is by menu and cooked to order for you. We also ordered dinner one night and ate on our balcony as we were leaving a port.

The menu will be in your room and changed daily

Also one I night we had a suites only dinner with the ship's officers in the Windjammer. It was a very memorable night and was treated royally.

Also don't hesitate to use the services of your concierge. Denzil can make things very smooth for you if you run into any snags while on the Explorer.

Wow thank you so much for this advice. Last cruise we avoided the Windjammer on embarkation day as it was an absolute free for all for seating! But if we can use Portofino's to sit down and eat that would be wonderful and stress free!

We shall certainly take breakfast in there too, we intend to make full use of the perks.

Could I just ask, with the ice shows, do you get tickets from the concierge or just go to the rink without tickets and show your gold card?

Thanks in advance!

You went to the ice show on your scheduled day. This is done by muster stations. We showed our gold card at the door and they got the concierge who escorted us to our seats .

We sailed on Explorer last March as a suite guest and we really enjoyed the addition of the 19th hole as overflow. Great view, great service, not crowded, and my 3 yo son loved the golf ball kinetic sculpture, he was practically glued to it the entire time we were in the lounge.

Thanks for sharing this- it sounds like the 19th hole is a better venue all round! Is it only available when the CL is at capacity?

The 19th Hole is only available to suites guest and pinnacle members during the evening happy hour every day of your cruise. Again they will ask to see your seapss card the first time.

The CL is available to D+ pinnacle and suite guest.

Yes the 19th hole is better venue!
