Hi!

We are in San Juan and Carnival called and emailed saying boarding is delayed do to "running some tests" when the Valor arrives in port in the morning?

They say do not show up until 3:30, due to limited seating.

Does anyone have any info on this?

No idea what it could be... Marine Traffic has the ship arriving at 4:30 in the morning... not sure how accurate that is. Could be that they are doing lifeboat tests. Also possible that they are just trying to spread out boarding, which is common for Carnival and other cruise lines. Enjoy your cruise!

Could just be the standard spacing out email but I will say one thing - there really is not that much seating in San Juan. If this email is true, it's going to be a disaster. We got there at 12:00 and there was no place to sit or even stand without being in the way.

Well, we arrived by 12:40 and boarded within 30 minutes.

Good! Had boarding already started when you arrived or is 1:10 when it first started?
